Great Indian Bustards are critically endangered birds. Around 90% of them reside in western Rajasthan with others scattered around India. Most of them are succumbing to collisions with power lines cut across the GIB arc. However, quite a few of these birds are dying due to poaching and herds of sheep ,belonging to farmers in that area, trampling their eggs.

Wildfires of 2020
19th December 2020
2020 has had the most wildfires in the history of the world. This comic highlights the most drastic fires this year - the Australia fires, the Amazon fires and the California fires. Still, there have been MANY more fires not shown here. Due to human negligence and climate change caused by humans, these poor animals are paying the price. Lets all try and pay attention when we litter or pick single-use plastic instead of a metal water bottle and play our part.
International sloth day
20th October, 2020
Sloths are fascinating creatures, with so many intriguing facts that this comic could have gone on much longer. They actually hang upside down for around 90% of their lives. And, they are able to extend their tongues 10 to 12 inches out of their mouths. They are found in Central and South America, and live an average of 10 to 16 years. I wish everyone a happy international sloth day.

Koalas sleep the most in the world- around 20-22 hours a day. Sloths are a close second with around 20 hours a day. Wild elephants actually sleep the least with only 3-4 hours a night. Koalas sleep so much because their main food is eucalyptus and whilst it is poisonous for many other animals, koalas are able to digest it, though it doesn't give much energy. Hence they have to conserve energy by sleeping

Sarus crains
9th August, 2020
Sarus cranes are the tallest flying birds in the world, but they are running out quickly due to habitat loss. Their habitat- wetlands, are being used to build highways, roads, buildings and more. Some die because of power lines in their habitats. Often, the wetlands are used for agricultural purposes, causing the cranes to have no other choice but to forage in these fields.( This often leads to poisoning from the pesticides)
Tiger habitat loss is a major reason for their decline. The clearing of forests for agriculture and building of roads pose serious threats. They need huge areas for survival and as forests shrink, prey is becoming scarce meaning they do not have enough food. Smaller areas of habitat also makes them more vulnerable to poaching.

Many people do not know that bees communicate through a dance that scientists call the waggle dance.
The bees shake their abdomen very fast.
They use the waggle dance to indicate to the rest of the bees where the best flowers are for nectar.
The duration of the waggle indicates the distance to the source and the angle at which she dances tells
the direction to the flower in relation to the sun.
