Great Indian Bustards are critically endangered birds. Around 90% of them reside in western Rajasthan with others scattered around India. Most of them are succumbing to collisions with power lines cut across the GIB arc. However, quite a few of these birds are dying due to poaching and herds of sheep ,belonging to farmers in that area, trampling their eggs.
I am Sahiti,an eighth grader living in Bangalore. I am interested in art and wildlife and this website offered me an opportunity to show them. I have always wanted to help animals however didn't know how, until my dad and I came up with this idea. My favorite bird is an owl, though I like them all. I have previously collected funds to different causes such as the National Conservation Fund's Hornbill Nest Adoption program (https://www.sanctuaryasia.com/magazines/features/10804-a-party-for-hornbills.html). My aim with this website is to spread awareness of the biodiversity of our world through a humorous way such as comics. I also want to educate people about interesting facts about birds and more. I want to make a bigger impact in wildlife conservation.
